CONFIGURATION SETTING USING MTN LINE

Make sure that your MTN Line is browsing ordinarily. If not, type SETTING in your message box and

send to 3888. When the GPRS/WAP settings come, do save it. After saving the MTN GPRS

configuration setting, do check if you can browse on your phone before proceeding to the next step

below.

Steps To Take

1. Download Solibay software attached herewith into your computer system. If your computer

system is Bluetooth-enabled, it will be faster to transfer the Solibay software to your phone.

However, you can equally use data cable.

2. If you have Bluetooth-enabled computer, do switch your phone Bluetooth on.

3. Search for your phone through the computer system and pair them together.

4. Transfer Solibay software to your phone.

5. If you don’t have Bluetooth-enabled computer system, use the data cable of your phone for the

transfer.

6. Connect your phone data cable to the phone and computer.

7. When your computer system recognizes your phone, do transfer Solibay software to the

Application Folder of your Phone Memory Card (assuming you are using Nokia phone).

8. Once the Solibay software enters, it will run automatically. Just locate it. What you will see is a

Nigerian Flag with caption: Solibay. When you open it, you will find Opera Mini.

9. When it opens, select

You will see where to do the configurations.

Do The Following:

Options on your phone and go to Tools, Settings, Network and select it.

Tick: Check time-out for connections

Type:

Type: 53 inside Port *

Username: web

Password: web

Opera Mini Server:

78.46.255.91 inside Server box 80.232.117.10:80

After putting all these configuration settings, do select SAVE.

Then, select Option, Tools, Settings and Auth. Code. When you get in there, do put these codes:

After that click SAVE.

NB: Please, do put all the codes in red color above – even if it’s a dot.

If you are using java rich phone like Nokia 3230, 6620, Nseries, Eseries and other 3G phone

models, you wil be able to browse now FREE. However, you can try it on your phonen as I have

not tried the codes on all phones.

ANOTHER WAY TO BROWSE ON YOUR PHONE FREE

1. Go to your phone Setting and locate Configuration. Check on Personal Configuration. Select

MTN (if it’s there) or create New Profile by clicking Option.

2. In the Account Name, type MTN WAP; Homepage, type

website address you want to check on.

3. After typing, click OK. Username is: web; Password: web.

4. In the User Preferred Access Point, select NO. Access Point: click OK. Proxy: select Enable.

Proxy Address: type 78.46.255.91 Proxy Port: 53.

5. Data Barrier: select Packet Data. Then Barrier Setting: select OK. Access Point: type

web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net and click OK. Network Type: select IPV4. Authentication: select

NORMAL. Username: web and Password: web.

If you want to chat on your phone, use:

http://wap.google.com/gwt/n or any http://wap.tjat.com

Enjoy free browsing on your phone.

NB: If you have credit in your phone, the browsing will gradually deplete it. So, make sure that

you don’t have credit in your phone before browsing.
